Who uses Vehicle Armor Systems?

Vehicle Armor Systems provides vehicle armor services to law enforcement, military, government agencies, and civilians.  We believe that being able to protect yourself, your family, your employees, and your assets is your right.

What level of protection is available through Vehicle Armor Systems?

Our vehicle armor kits start out at a NIJ Threat Level IIIA that protects against small arms such as handguns and shotguns.  We offer special threat armor that can handle Threat Levels III and IV, such as the 30-06 rifle round.

Does Vehicle Armor Systems provide body armor?

Vehicle Armor Systems provides vehicle armoring services.  Our sister companies Citizen Armor and ATEK Defense Systems offer body armor and ballistic protection products for civilians, military, and law enforcement entities.

What difference is there between Level 3 and Level 3A Armor?

The National Institute of Justice, or NIJ for short, is the Government agency that develops armor standards.  All products developed and offered by Vehicle Armor Systems goes through this testing and meets or exceeds each category for ballistic protection.

Level IIIA is entry level ballistic protection and stops most gunfire from shotguns and handguns.

Level III is designed to provide protection from non-armor piercing rifle projectiles.  The standard for this level is being able to stop a 7.62×51 NATO

How much does it cost to bulletproof my car?

The cost to bulletproof your vehicle depends on a few factors.  Firstly how much of the vehicle you want armored.  Our standard vehicle armor package covers the windshield, front doors, and front windows at a NIJ Threat level of IIIA.  The cost of armoring your vehicle goes up the more of of the windows, doors, and panel areas that need to be armored.  It also costs more to fabricate and install special threat levels of armor such as III (level 3) or IV (level 4).
